What is a criminal record certificate?

A criminal record certificate is an official document issued from Poland’s Krajowy Rejestr Karny (KRK), the National Criminal Register. Its official Polish name is zaświadczenie o niekaralności; it is also known as a KRK certificate.

What the certificate contains

The document states whether a person has a criminal record and whether any restrictions or prohibitions apply.

Where the certificate is issued

You can obtain the certificate through the Krajowy Rejestr Karny office at a court. The register is administered by the Polish Ministry of Justice.
